The Kinark Outdoor Centre (KOC) is located in Minden, Ontario, nestled among the forests and along the shores of beautiful Grey Lake. Just two hours north of the Greater Toronto Area, our facility provides a peaceful and accessible outdoor setting for participants, families, and groups to connect, learn, and grow.
At the Kinark Outdoor Centre (KOC), nutritious meals are an important part of the participant’s experience. Our kitchen team prepares balanced, client-friendly, cafeteria-style meals designed to meet a variety of tastes and dietary needs. With advance notice, we can accommodate special dietary requirements related to allergies, medical conditions, religious practices, and other food restrictions, ensuring that all participants can enjoy safe, healthy, and inclusive meal experiences during their time at KOC.
We work with a third party food service provider, Kennedy Catering. We are happy to connect you with the caterer if requested.
The Kinark Outdoor Centre (KOC) offers comfortable and welcoming accommodations designed to support participants in each of our three primary program streams. All cabins are equipped with a two-piece bathroom and can accommodate anywhere from 1 to 15 guests, allowing us to meet the needs of individuals, families, and groups of varying sizes.
To promote comfort, privacy, and a sense of belonging, families participating in KOC programs are never required to share a cabin with another family or unrelated group. Our accommodations provide a safe and supportive environment where participants can relax, build connections, and fully enjoy their outdoor experience.
Indoor gathering spaces play an important role in the Kinark Outdoor Centre (KOC) experience and support activities across each of our three program streams. Whether used for meetings, clinical sessions, family activities, group discussions, program delivery, or as a comfortable alternative during inclement weather, our indoor facilities provide flexible and welcoming spaces to meet a variety of typical and also extraordinary needs!
