Autism Programs
At the KOC there are 3 programs under the Autism Family Respite offering. All of our programs are family centered and we are not offering 1:1 support for youth. The opportunity to try new activities, practice new skills, to have a break from home and the daily grind of life. Transferring those experiences into new established patterns or earned skills are valuable respite outcomes and we welcome the chance to meet you and to work with your whole family!

We will be offering multiple FULLY Funded Autism Family Social programs this summer. Applications can be found in the CampBrain portal.

2026 Programming:
- Funded Autism Family Social – A funded 3-day family respite program. In 2026 these are spring program offerings.
- Autism Summer Family Camp – We are offering 3 recreational fee for service family camps this summer. This is a 4-day program.
- OAP Family Seasonal Socials – These programs are fun camp environment programs with an intentional focus on social skill development. The KOC provides clinical oversight related to specific learning domains and expenses for the program are recoverable for eligible families through the Ontario Autism Program. There are 2 4-day offerings in the summer and 6, 3-day offerings in the fall.
Funded Autism Family Social (3-Day)

Our fully funded Autism Family Social program is for the whole family. These are fully funded by Kinark and offered through a lottery system, there is no cost for families to attend these programs. Applications will open on Feb. 2 and will remain open until Feb. 15. Families can apply for the fully funded spots through the registration portal, and will be randomly selected to attend, within their preferred dates. In 2026 this program consists of 3-day camps throughout the spring.
The selected families will be advised by April 1.

Autism Summer Family Camp (4-Day)

Our Family Camp program is for the whole family. Families stick together as a family unit, and parents care for their children throughout the entire program. There is no one-to-one respite component to this program. The Family Camp program is a great opportunity for families to get away for a fun family vacation in a well-supported and inclusive environment. All families attending the program have at least one child diagnosed with an Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Throughout the camp, there are many activities and options offered by the KOC staff, including but not limited to: high ropes and rock climbing, archery, guided hikes, sensory gardens, family game time, arts and crafts, and waterfront activities (season depending) such as: swimming, canoeing, kayaking, pontoon boat rides, fishing, sand castle building, and a sauna!
We have updated our pricing model to allow for more families to be able to attend. We are now offering 3 different price points. Families are able to choose, based on their financial capacity, what option best suits them. Families are not required to show any proof of income.
Cost of Program for a Family of 5 or less: $1,750

Please note, families will only be able to register up to 6 people. The 6th person will be charged an additional cost, which covers the cost of meals.
This program is a 4-Day, 3-night Autism Family Camp. These costs listed include all of your meals, accommodations, and activities. This program is filled on a first-come, first-served basis.

OAP Family Seasonal Socials (4-Day – Summer)

This program is a 4-day family camp during the summer and a 3-day family camp during the fall. This is an all-inclusive program for the whole family, and were designed to give families touched by autism a supported, camp experience. Our highly skilled Outdoor Program Facilitators are dedicated to providing a safe and exciting environment for you and your children to explore. Throughout the family option periods, your family will have countless opportunities to participate in activities, strengthen family bonds, and try new things.
This OAP Family Seasonal Social includes specific clinical oversight through Kinark with a focus on targeted learning domains. Program expenses may be recoverable for eligible families through the Ontario Autism Program (OAP). Families are encouraged to confirm eligibility and reimbursement details directly with their OAP provider.
For the 2026 season there are two 4-day offerings in the summer and six, 3-day offerings in the fall.
